The Trio Parnassus has just been awarded the prestigious ECHO Klassik Award 2008 by the German Phono-Academy for their recording of Erich Korngolds Piano Trio op. 1 and Suite op. 23 for 2 violins, violoncello and Piano (left hand). This is the second time the Trio has received this prize, after winning it in the year 2001 for their recording of Robert Schumanns Complete Piano Trios.
